Educational research (Language and Literacy)
専門分野・研究テーマ
My specialty is educational research with a focus on language and literacy. My current research interests lie in how learners acquire and use language across different cultural and educational contexts, particularly in second language learning environments. I am especially interested in the role of literacy—both traditional and digital—in shaping communication, identity, and learning outcomes among multilingual learners.
In today’s increasingly interconnected world, learners often engage in multiple languages and digital platforms. I’m interested in exploring how language is learned, taught, and experienced in real-life contexts, with attention to learner identity, motivation, and access to meaningful learning opportunities.
Understanding the relationship between language, literacy, and education requires attention to broader social, cultural, and technological influences. By examining how learners make sense of language through reading, writing, speaking, and digital engagement, I aim to conduct practical teaching strategies as well as facilitate theoretical discussions on equity, agency, and transformation in education.
高校生・学生へのメッセージ
Always interact with English (or whatever language you want to master), whether it be through books, articles, movies, or social media. Learning a language takes a lifetime, so make it part of your daily routine. Even a little bit each day can make a big difference over time.
Also, don’t forget to move your body—exercise isn’t just good for your physical health, it also boosts brain function, improves memory, and helps you stay focused. A healthy body supports a healthy mind, and that makes language learning smoother and more enjoyable. Keep learning, keep moving, and keep growing!
